"Thomas Bancroft of Dedham and Reading, Mass., and Some of His Descendants", NEHGR, p. 94, p. 218, lists the first son John and first daughter Elizabeth as twins, both dying the same day. The records do not say this. The births are in different years, different months, and different days, and the death record only mentions Elizabeth. Further, the eleventh month was misinterpreted as November instead of the correct January. There is no death record for John, though he clearly died young as another son named John was born 5 years later.
