No marriage certificate has been found to record this sad marriage, which caused Hannah's parents to disown her (as Stephen was not Jewish), and which lasted only 3 months before Hannah died (of cancer?). We know of it from a wedding announcement in the possession of Hannah's niece.

    "Mr. and Mrs. Louis Brantman announce the marriage of their daughter Hannah to Mr. Stephen A. Bazdan on Saturday, the ninth of August, nineteen hundred and thirty, New York City." This announcement was in the possession of Hannah's niece Carol Fassler. Note that the family recollection is that Hannah was disowned for marrying out of the faith, so it is likely that Stephen and Hannah printed these announcements at their own expense, and that her parents didn't actually have anything to do with the announcement.
