The order of children given in this source, with the dates known about them, is:
    - John
    - Robert, baptized 1542
    - Katherine, baptized 1544, married 1565
    - Olive, married 1563
    - Dorothy, married 1566
    - Thomas, first child baptized 1568

The order the children are listed in their grandmother Olive's will is:
    - Olive
    - Katherine
    - Dorothy
    - Thomas
John, son of Robert is listed in a separate section of the will.

John is the only child of this marriage mentioned by name in his father's will and his paternal grandfather's will. He is also mentioned in his paternal grandmother's will, in a bequest separate from the other children of this family.

Based on the wills, it would appear that John is the oldest surviving son. Based on the grandmother's will, the birth order of the girls is probably: Olive, Katherine, Dorothy. That would mean that Dorothy was born no earlier than 1546 (after Katherine's known baptism in 1544). If Thomas were younger yet, as implied by the order in his grandmother's will, he would have been born no earlier than 1548 (assuming he was not Dorothy's twin), and therefore married at about 19 (in 1567). While not impossible, it seems improbable in a family of this prominence. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that the grandmother simply chose to acknowledge her granddaughters first, and that Thomas was, in fact, older than at least Dorothy. Since Olive was married in 1563, there is no need to assume she was born any earlier than 1540 (before the two known baptisms).

The Ancestral File gives Robert and Mary's marriage date as 10 Sep 1541 (conveniently almost exactly 9 months before the known baptism date of their son Robert), but all AF dates for this family are suspect, so there is no reason to accept it, or the baptism date given for Mary Green.

Based on the above information, the following birth order and dates are proposed:
    - John (b. est. 1536)
    - Thomas (b. est 1538) (married in about 1567 at age about 29 - or earlier at a younger age)
    - Olive (b. est 1540) (married in 1563 at age about 23)
    - Robert (bapt. 1542)
    - Katherine (bapt. 1544) (married in 1565 at age 21)
    - Dorothy (b. est 1546) (married in 1566 at age about 20)
