Emigration to Australia A diary of a voyage on the "Dirigo" from Liverpool, UK to Rocky Creek, NSW by an unknown author has been published by Newcastle Family History Society, New South Wales, Australia. The diary was handwritten in a note book in 1859-60 during the 108 days journey of a young male emigrant in the sailing ship, “DIRIGO”, from Liverpool to Sydney. The diary has been published on CD-ROM with a transcription from the original. Copies can be purchased from Newcastle Family History Society. [4]
