Quoted from the books of the Monthly Meeting of Westbury, Long Island: "Jericho, the 4th day of the 1st mo. 1688. I was born 25th of tenth month in the year 1660 and I continued with my mother until I was 25 years of age, and in the year 1686 on 25th day of the first month, I took Abigail Bowne to wife, and we continued together until the 24th of the 11 month following and then she borne me a daughter and she called her name Hannah and we enjoyed each other in great love until the 16th of the 4th month 1688 and the the Lord took her to Himself and left me, Richard Willetts a sorrowful man with my motherless babe."

Facts and Events
Abigail Powell
'Richard Willets died . . . his widow lived till 1757, "having seen her granddaughter's grand child, and having her understanding and memory to admiration to the last." Richard Willets and wife Abigail (nee Powell) were both active members of the Society of Friends, and great unanimity seems to have subsisted between the two widows, mother-in-law Mary and daughter-in-law Abigail in their long continued widowhood.'[1]
