  2.   Source:Wilson, Mehitable Calef Coppenhagen. John Gibson of Cambridge, Massachusetts and His Descendants, 1634-1899, p. 31, says the marriage occurred 6 Sep 1695. Since this source does not explain the basis for this date, it is hard to give it any credence over the Marlborough Vital Records. But if a basis were to be found, perhaps it would suggest that the August date was the publishment, and the September date was the actual marriage?
