. Alvira Barsheba Baily was born April 22, 1860 in Fountain Co. and on December 23, 1874 in that County she married Napoleon Bonepart Butt who was born in May 1853, the son of John and Margaret (Trinkle) Butt. Alvira passed away in 1935 and Napoleon on September 7, 1922 and both were laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery. I had a lot of visits with one of Alvira's daughters, Ruby Bunnell. We used to talk on the phone for a long time and then later she went to a Nursing Home where she is now, so some of the information was given me by her and a lot I did research for her so therefore I have more information than on some of the other families. They were the parents of ten children:
a. Freeman Butt, no information only that he died as an infant and is buried in Bonebrake Cemetery, behind the old School building.
b. Rosie Butt, same information as Freeman.
c. John R. Butt was born October 16, 1882 and I believe was married for some time, but had no children. He passed away October 23, 1976, I believe in Danville, Ill. and was laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro.
d. Annie May Butt was born September 19, 1884 in Fountain Co. and on November 2, 1901 she married Harry Myer who was born March 21, 1880 and passed away in 1952. She passed away in 1967 and they both were laid to rest in Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. They were the parents of two sons:
i. Estin Myers was born June 17, 1903 and on October 10, 1927 he married Aravella Carney who was born October 24, 1908 and they have one daughter:
ii. Ralph Myer, born June 3, 1906 and on December 25, 1932 he married Elsie Standley. She was born April 17, 1908. They have three children:
e. Vernia V. Butt was born January 8, 1887 and was married the first time to William. Keeling and second to Perry Cooper She passed away July 23, 1967 and was laid to rest in Rose Hill. There was no issue.
f. Ralph Butt was born in October 1889 and married Blanche V. Anderson. He passed away June 19, 1955. They also had no issue.
g. Ruth Butt was born in August of 1893 and first married Walter Whitaker and second married a "Hanley". To the best of my knowledge she is still living in Chicago. If she is deceased I didn't notice it in the paper and I'm sure it would have been in ours. She has one son :
h. Ruby Butt was born in Fountain Co. February 21, 1897 and married Clifford Bunnell. He passed away March 2, 1973 and was laid to rest in Masonic Cemetry, Waynetown and as I stated before Ruby is now living in the "Ben Hur Nursing Home at Crawfordsville and if you will notice she will be 99 years of age this next February. To the best of my knowledge she is in fairly good health. She and Clifford are the parents of three children:
i. William Bunnell was born May 3, 1914 in Montgomery Co. This family lived in Waynetown, In. all of their married life I believe.(I mean Ruby and Clifford). William married Mildred Bratton and later married Helen Gentry. There are three children and I assume they belong to him and Mildred, but I don't have the marriage date on either of them.
ii. Helen Bunnell was born December 21, in Montgomery Co. (Waynetown) and first married Robert Drake and they had one son. I think this marriage ended in divorce and she then married Milford Milligan and they have two children: Helen resides on Country Club Road and is very active in theatre work with the Crawfordsville Amatuer Guild as well as she has a very beautiful hobby of decorating eggs with seeds, beads, shells and numerous other materials.
iii. Emery Bunnell was born December 26, 1917 and married Tilly Purdy. They have to the best of my knowledge two children:
i. Edith Butt was born April 23, 1899 and passed away April 2, 1982. There was no issue and to the best of my knowledge she was laid to rest in Rose Hill.
j. Murial Butt was born August 20, 1902 in Hillsboro and married Leo Sullivan. She passed away December 27, 1959 and he in August 1960. They had one son;
i. Robert Sullivan, no birth date, but passed away in 1982, no information on his marriage but there were three children:
