Moses Cooper III, our third great Grandfather was born in Washington Co. Pa. January 6, 1794. In 1811 he was united in marriage with Christiana Young, the daughter of John (1760) and Lui Myers (1776) Young. She was born March 19, 1794 in Lone Pine and she passed away February 8, 1881. He passed away July 2, 1872 and they are buried, I believe, in Lone Pine. They were the parents of ten children:

1. James Cooper, born October 29, 1811 in Washington Co., married Lucinda Allen April 25, 1833 and passed away August 2, 1893. This is our second Great Grandfather and his family and more information will be included in Chapter nine and that chapter will probably be the longest chapter in the book as they had sixteen (16) children and most of them had large families.
2. Amy Cooper was born September 24, 1813 in Washington Co Pa. as were all of their children.
3. Ruth Cooper, born September 14, 1815.
4. John Cooper, born March 5, 1818.
5. Hannah Cooper, born January 25, 1820.
6. Joanna Cooper, born October 20, 1823.
7. Nancy Cooper, born November 5, 1825.
8. Presilla Cooper, born June 8, 1828.
9. Lemuel Young Cooper, born January 24, 1832 and in 1856 he married Ann Greenlee. Their family will be completed, as much as I have in this chapter.
10. Elmy Ann Cooper, born June 28, 1835.
