Family:Junius Booth and Mary Holmes (1)

The marriage was common-law by Maryland reckoning because Junius was still married to Adelaide Delannoy. He kept his second family secret from her until she came to the U.S. in the late 1830s. A messy divorce followed and he was able to legally marry Mary Ann in 1851, the year before his death.
