  3.   There was a Sarah Packard buried in Fish Hill Cemetery, Prescott, MA (moved to Quabbin Park Cemetery) whose age at death gives a birth in 1732-3 (see rootsweb posting). The Joseph Packard buried in the same place d. 25 Oct 1800, in 73rd year, which suggests a birth in 1727-8 (see Source:Coolidge, Lillie Pierce. History of Prescott, Massachusetts, p. 33). Prescott was formed from Pelham, where Joseph Packard was a representative to the Constitutional Convention of 1779 and married Sarah Johnson (see Person:Joseph Packard (4)). This calls into question whether it was the Joseph Packard bp. 1725 that married Sarah. (Of course, by their very nature, gravestones are second hand - even assuming it is still the original gravestone and not a later memorial erected by descendants - so age at death calculations often have a little slop in them). See also Family:Joseph Packard and Abigail Alger (1) for a Joseph of very similar age. Perhaps the husbands and wives should be swapped?
