== Family History ==-- John and Eva were married at her parents' home (D. M. and Sarah Peck).

According to their marriage application, John Allen Woods' are Samuel Woods and Rebecca Smith. Eva Jane Peck's parents are D. M. and Sarah Jane Scribner. The "Walter Family Tree 1" has her mother's maiden name as Springer.

According to the 1900 and 1910 census records, John and Eva had three children. They are Floyd A., May I. and Isora D.

The 1900 Census[2] shows that John and Eva (listed as Iva) are living with John's parents, Samiel and Rebecca Woods. Samiel was born August 1833 in Ohio; and Rebecca was born in September 1844 in Indiana. Rebecca was the mother of 10 children, 5 living. John was born in October 1871. Eva was born in May 1876; she also stated that she had 1 child, 1 still living. Others living with Samiel and Rebecca are: their daughter, Charlott, who was born in July 1881; Floid A. born in June 1895, and Oliver Williams (Hired Man) who was born in September 1875 in Indiana.

From the 1910 Census[3] that John and Eva were living in Jefferson Township, Wells County, Indiana. John A. was a farmer; and that he and Eva J. were married 16 years. Eva stated that she had three children and that three children were still living. Children living with them are: Clyde A. (Floyd), May I, and Isora D.

In 1920[4], John and Eva were still living and farming in Jefferson Township, Wells County, Indiana. Two daughters, May I. and Izora D., were also living with them.

According to the 1930 Census[5], John was now listed as a farm laborer working at a Truck farm. His wife, Eva J., was also listed.

From the 1940 Census[6] it shows that the household consisted of John A. and Eva J. John is listed as a retired farm and Eva listed her occupation as housewife.
