John3 Strong, born at Windsor 25 Dec. 1665, died there (East Windsor) 29 May 1749; married (no record) Mary3 Pinney, born at Windsor 16 June 1667, died at East Windsor 4 July 1747 aged 80, daughter of Samuel2 and Joyce (Bissell) Pinney. Her parents married 17 Nov. 1665 and had three children (Pinney): Mary, b. 16 June 1667; Samuel, b. 20 Nov. 1668; and Josiah, b. 3 Nov. 1681. Josiah Pinney of Windsor in his will dated 2 Sept. 1726 (inventory taken 21 Sept. 1726] named his brother Samuel Pinney and his sister "Mary wife of John Strong of Windsor" [Manwaring's Digest, 2:560]. John3 Strong was the only man of the name in Windsor whose wife she could have been, and his own will, made 10 Feb. 1741/2, prior to her death, names his wife as Mary. So far as we know, she was his only wife and the mother of his children, the first of whom was named Mary.
