4. ↑ Torrey's date of marriage before 1643 is probably based on the estimated date of birth of their oldest known son. Tingley, giving a very specific date, has been used by many researchers and appears time after time after time in the Ancestral File, Pedigree Resource File, and anywhere else it may be copied. As usual, Tingley gives no sources, and no one else seems to have found any records to confirm his date or even suggest where it may have originated.
