"John Moore of Warwick" was the administrator of the estate of Mary's father John Bruce in Fitzwilliam, NH.

In NEHGR 57:366, Descendants of John Moore, Ethel Standwood Bolton suggests that it is the John Moore, son of Asa Moore of Worcester, that perhaps m. Mary Bruce.

However, we find the following records in VR Worcester:

p. 186: John, s. of Asa and Sarah, May 3, 1746.[parentage]
p. 392: Moore, John and Patience Gates July 16, 1768.[marriage]
p. 185: Asa, s. of John and Persis, Nov. 29, 1768.
p. 188: Salla, d. of John and Percis, Dec. 7, 1772. [i.e., Sarah, named after John's mother]
p. 188: Persis, d. of John, 3d and Persis, Sep. 5, 1775.
p. 392: Moore, John and Mary Gurney April 24, 1776. [2nd marriage]
p. 185: Daniel, s. of John and Mary, June 29, 1777.
p. 186: John, s. of John and Mary, Jan 27, 1778 or 1779.
p. 188: Molly, d. of John and Mary, Sept. 8, 1780.
p. 187: Levi, s. of John and Mary, Oct. 2, 1788.

which strongly suggest that the John Moore who was son of Asa never left Worcester and did not marry Mary Bruce.

The fact that 3 other children of Daniel Moore and Elizabeth White of Acton ended up in Warwick along with John, and that one of his older daughters was named Elizabeth, strongly suggests that John Moore came instead from that family.
