  1.   Both Barbara and Magdalena could not have married John in 1748. Some proof has to be found that the children are all Barbara's. If her birth year is 1733, she would be 15 when she married John Miller who would have been about 28.

Barbara died in 1789 and John in 1798. Magadalena lived on until 1817. So did she marry John Miller after the death of Barbara in 1789? Some work needs to be done on this.

John "Hannas" Miller (Christian [1]) was born abt. 1730 in Salles, Bas Rhin, France, and died July 17, 1798 in Brothers Valley Twp., Somerset Co. PA. He married (1) Magdalena Yoder. She was born abt. 1724. He married (2) Magdalena Lehman Bef. 1749. She was born Abt. 1730 in Berks Co. PA. [This would make the children's mother Magdalena Lehman].
"There is a Hannes Miller who was a passenger on the ship "Phoenix" that came to Philadelphia on September 15, 1749, who a number of historians agree is probably our ancestor. Hannes, or John Sr., as he is officially called, was about nineteen years old when he came to America in 1749."
"In 1798 Hannes made his will and shortly after died. His will is one of the oldest filed in Somerset, the county was formed in 1795. His son, Hannes, Jr., was the executor and Joseph Speicher, his son-in-law, assisted. In the estate papers which are filed, his wife Magdalena renounces the right to execute the will. Magdalena must have stayed there until her death in 1817. Hannes, Sr., and his wife lived together in the Glades only from 1786 to 1798, twelve years, although Magdalena lived another nineteen years after Hannes died at about age sixty-eight, an averge age for that time, but not a great age." [The children are all listed as children of John Miller and Magdalena Lehman.]
