↑ Source:Merrick, George Byron. Genealogy of the Merrick-Mirick-Myrick Family of Massachusetts, 1636-1902, p. 103, add a daughter "Mary, b. ---; m. Abbott". Naturally there is no explanation of the basis for this assertion, nor has one been found. Besides the obvious fact there is no such birth record, there is no mention of her in the probate, typically where such vague identifications originate. This is strongly suspected to be a misreading of something that pertains to Abigail who did marry a Mr. Abbott.
