Bennett Date: Thursday, 12 August 2004, at 3:26 p.m. THE IONIA SENTINEL, MICH.; November 4, 1886: "Sarah McKelvey, wife of John McKelvey of North Plains township, died at her home on Monday evening at 8 o'clock, from the effects of an injury received (some?) weeks ago in a runaway accident. The deceased lady leaves her husband, whose pathway through life she has shared and lightened for forty-three years, and one son to mourn her loss. A host of friends whom she was ever ready to make welcome at her fireside and who have so often partaken of her kindly hospitality will sympathize with those whose hearts are made so desolute today by the loss of wife and mother. The funeral occurred on Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock, at the family residence on North Plains."
