John was 82 years old when he died.

Barbara was 89 years old when she died and she was living with her daughter, Adema, in Edgerton, Ohio.

Her obituary read, "Mrs. Barbara Ann McConnel, aged 88, died Saturday at her home in Edgerton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the New Haven Methodist Episcopa Church with the Rev. A. R. Sanks officiating. Burial in the New Haven I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Surviving are three sons, John McConnel, of Fort Wayne; Caleb, of Cedar Creek Township, and Frank, of Hudson; a daughter, Mrs. Adema Kelly, of Edgerton; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Mrs. McConnel was preceded in death by her husband, John, four sons and three daughters. The Snyder Funeral Home, Payne, O., is in charge of the funeral services."
