[It is not clear what this correspondence says, but it seems at odds with the Dedham recordsS3. In addition, Charlestown records show a John Kent who married 1692 Sarah Smith, also recorded in Scituate, identified by Source:Briggs, Lloyd Vernon. Genealogies of the Different Families Bearing the Name of Kent in the United States as the son of this John based on a 1707 deed mentioning "son John, Jr., of Scituate", plus pattern in names of the children. The birth of this son is not recorded in Charlestown, but based on spacing, it would appear to have needed to have been before Hannah in 1667, therefore suggesting the marriage could not have been as late as 1666.-Jrich ]
