We have come up with a list of four children that were probably John and Elizabeth's, but the evidence is all circumstantial. Elizabeth died ca 1836, and John remarried in 1838. His first set of children apparently remained in Kentucky after he moved to Washington Co., TN. They were all raised by various relatives it seems.
- Perlina Dugger born April 1831 in Whitley Co., KY died after 1900, was with Arad Comstock (c1805) in 1850 Whitley Co., KY. Arad was her uncle. In 1860 she was living near Thomas with one child, William Dugger, born 1859. She married John Stover born July 1824, died after 1900 0n Augus 1870 in Scott Co., TN.
- William B. Dugger born about 1832 died before 1870 was with Willis and Dolly (---) Watkins in 1850 Pulaski Co., KY. He married Nancy Ellan Miller October 10 1851 in Pulaski Co., KY. I have been able to locate two children- Lucy H.-August 3, 1852 and Robert Bell-July 24, 1856. No solid evidence William was John's son, but it seems likely.
- Thomas Dugger born October 23, 1833, Whitley County, KY, died March 28, 1863 of typhoid fever, buried Lebanon National Cemetery, Lebanon, KY. He was bound to Rev. James Storm November 11, 1836 as an appentice He was listed on the 1850 census in Laurel Co., KY with James and Sarah (---) Storm, who was the brother of William Dugger's wife, Elizabeth. He later lived in Pulaski Co., KY, where he married (July 7, 1854) Isabel Burtonborn, born 1832 died February 22 1879 in Marion Co., IL. They had 5 children, James William Jefferson-Oct 28 1855; Mary Dugger-1857; Perlina Catherine- September 5, 1857; Lorenzo Nathan Scott-November 27, 1859; Thomas Abraham Lincoln-May 22, 1862. He joined the 12th Ky Infantry September 26, 1861. Based on the fact that he lived near Perlina and he named a daughter Perlina,it is a pretty safe bet that he was John's son
- Amanda E. Dugger (c1835 KY) was listed on the 1850 census Pulaski Co., KY with Larkin and Sarah (---) Maxsey family. She maried John D. Marsee May 17, 1852 in Pulaski Co., KY. They had 7 children, David-March 27,1853; James-1854; Mary Elizabeth-January 18,1859; John H.-October 1, 1861; Brownie-1865; Samuel L.-1868; and Ralph-1872. No proof seen of her parentage, but possibly John and Elizabeth's daughter.
