In the Beck notebook the Certifcate of Marriage shows 21 January 1891 John S Beck of Pottsville and Lou L Shissler of Port Carbon were by me united in marriage at the house of Mrs. Shissler, Port Carbon according to the laws of the state of Pennsylvania. It is signed by Jacob Belville, Minister of the Gospel. There is also "Original Marriage Certificate: I Jacob Belville hereby certify that on the 21st day of January 1891 at Port Carbon, Penn John Seitz Beck and Miss Lou L Shissler were by me united in marriage in accordance with license issued by the Clerk of the Orphan's Court of Schuylkill County, Pa. No. 6110 signed Jacob Belville
