   Assumes that she was mother of all the children.

2. ↑ Savage, James. A Genealogical Dictionary of the First Settlers of New England: Showing Three Generations of Those Who Came Before May, 1692, on the Basis of Farmer's Register. (Boston: Little, Brown, and Co, 1860-1862)

3.   Apparently John died suddenly intestate in 1677. Probate court notations about the time of his inventory refer to the birthdates of his children recorded in the Stratford Vital Records. Any variations from these birthdates, should be backed up by a tombstone record, probate record, etc. for the individual child.
4. ↑ Savage indicates the mother of this family to be a daughter of Thomas Staples. While that information is widely reproduced, it is more recently in strong dispute.
