The 1850 US Census lists a Jemima who is age 3, 13 years younger than any other child. The 1860 US Census lists Catharine age 12, about the same age Jemima should be 10 years later, but Jemima is no longer listed. It is not clear if these two records refer to the same person, or whether they are even daughters, versus granddaughters, nieces, etc. Neither one is listed in the accounting of the father's estate (heirs are listed as Nathan Snyder, Owen Snyder, Daniel Snyder, Mary Snyder, Eliza Schnabel, Lydia De Long, Sarah Bloss [Note: no Elias though there is a baptism record for him and some evidence he survived his father?]), nor are they mentioned in Source:Hollenbach, Raymond E. Schneider-Snyder Families of Heidelberg (Children: Elias, Maria (Polly), Nathan, Elisabeth, Johannes, Owen, Sarah, Daniel [Note: Lydia not mentioned and the Elias mentioned is the wrong Elias, the one who was s/o Jacob and Margaretha Schneider]). Various websites give varying subsets of these, including in one case, Jemima. --Jrich 12:24, 6 April 2010 (EDT) References
