Joe and wife Betsy were the parents of Nancy Myers Taylor the wife of Willie J. Leach. The Leach family has generational ties to Magnolia Garden Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina. Willie J. Leach lived and worked for 30 years as gardener/superintendent at Magnolia Garden Plantation. Joe and Betsy's grandson now in is early 80's has taken his father's place at the plantation where his own son, the fourth generation Leach family member is also employed.
