Family:Jeffery Lucas and Elizabeth Potts (1)

Further research is required to determine the identity of Elizabeth Potts, the wife of Jeffery Lucas. There were at least 3 Elizabeth Pott/Potts baptized in Cheshire in 1811 (daughter of Richard and Sarah, baptized 18 Aug 1811 in Barthomley; daughter of Robert and Abigall, baptized 30 Jun 1811 in Little Budworth; daughter of John and Sarah, baptized 19 May 1811 in Goostrey-cum-Barnshaw) as well as at least 3 baptized in 1812 (daughter of William and Ann Potts, baptized 15 Mar 1812 in Marton by Congleton, which is where Jeffery was buried; daughter of William and Mary Pott, baptized 19 Jan 1812 in Poynton; daughter of Charles Pott, baptized 1 Nov 1812 in Bunbury). None of the baptism places coincides exactly with Somerford (her birthplace as per the 1851 census), but Goostrey and Marton are closest.
