According to family tradition, the father of Samuel McCutcheon "of North Mountain" in the Borden Tract, "Pioneer" John McCutcheon of Beverley Manor, and Robert, William and James McCutcheon of the "Calfpasure" in Augusta County may have been a James McCutcheon, who supposedly died abt. 1738, possibly in Pennsylvania or Virginia.
