James married Elizabeth Jack (1727-1792) of Ardstraw, Ireland. From her year of birth we would assume that their marriage took place no earlier than c1745. Given his numerous children, they probably married before 1750. James had numerous sons, but only one daughter. James wrote his will August 23, 1771; it entered probate 10 September 1771, narrowly fixing his death as in late August or early September 1771.
