Family History

On 30 September 1861, James Lambert Jobson of Choppington, coal miner and son of Robert Jobson, labourer, and Ann Overton of Choppington, aged 20 years and daughter of Thomas Overton, yeoman, were married at the parish church of Bedlington, Northumberland, by C.T. Whitley. The marriage was witnessed by Joseph Burn and (Ann's sister) Sarah Overton.[1]
