  2.   Note: Source:Reed, Jacob Whittemore. History of the Reed Family in Europe and America, p. 280 lists the following children in this family: Abel, Asahel, Jacob, Sarah, Eunice, Pendy, Ruth, Bathsheba, Relief, Nancy, Ezekiel, Curtis, and Susan. The probate cited names Abel, Israel, Jacob deceased Sarah, Eunice, Ruth and Experience deceased. Presumably Pendy is Experience. Asahel Reed is a soldier from Sudbury killed 19 Apr 1775 (opening of the Revolution), which given Jacob and Patience's marriage in 1757, birth of Jacob 1758, birth of Sarah 1760, all recorded, seems unlikely to belong to this family, especially since some lists give his age in 1775 as 22, so born 4 years before his supposed parents were married (possibly a brother of Jacob, not his son)? The rest (Bathsheba, Relief, Nancy, Ezekiel, Curtis and Susan) do not belong in this family and are the children of daughter Sarah who married Ezekiel Howe, and are not even Reeds, but Howes!
