[edit] 1910 CensusHenry R Colby, 24, and Emma B Colby, 31, live at 45 Pine Street in Bath, Maine (Ward1), with Emma's mother, Annie R Grover, age 58 (widowed) and Emma's grandmother, Drusilla Jackson, 80 and a widow. Emma and Henry have been married for only a year, and have no children. Annie Grover has had two children, tho only one (Emma) is living. Drusilla Jackson had 4 children; 2 are living in 1910. All members of the household were noted to have been born in Maine, as were their parents. Henry Colby is employed as a house joiner. Annie Jackson is noted as having her "own income."
[edit] 1920 CensusHenry R Colby, 35, and Emma B Colby, 40, still live at 45 Pine Street in Bath, Maine (Ward1). They have two daughters, Jessie E, 9 and Winifred N, 8 months. Jessie E is attending school. Henry's mother was born in Massachusetts; all other household members and their parents are born in Maine. Henry Colby is a joiner. Is is noted as working in a "yard," presumably as a ship joiner. Annie R Grover, Emma's mother, is also still living at 45 Pine Street, age 66 and widowed. The house is owned, but mortgaged.
