Identity

Several trees identify the parents of Emma (Harris) Almanofsky as George and Sarah Harris, but most confuse them with one or another couple of that name that remained in England. While it is known from Emma's death record that her maiden name was Harris, it is not clear where the first names of her parents came from (presumably family records, but possibly resulting from inaccurate research).
