George and Elias were brothers. Their name is spelled Dickerson/Dickinson. This is George's Tombstone it reads George Dickerson B:June 14,1803 D:Sept 25,1897. Priscilla Bemis - his wife B: Nov. 6,1808 D: Sept. 24,1897 (within a day of each other) On the sides & back it list the children who also have small stone beside the big one but they look real old. Abagail A. their daughter B: Aug. 11,1839 D: Oct. 18,1877. Joseph B. their son B: Oct. 12,1834 D: Nov. 24,1874. Wilbur F. Dickerson their son B: Oct 12,1847 D: Oct 16,1863. Rosilla Dickerson their daughter B: April 17, 1851 D: May 14,1856. One small stone reads Our Wilbur, second reads Willie 1, third reads Little Eddie also a small stone near reads Jos. & Hannah Dickerson. George's parents were Paul & Sarah (Bemis) Dickerson. The Dickerson's and Bemis's came from Dummerston, Vermont. The Dickerson's came from Mass. to Vermont then New York state. George and Priscilla were married July 4,1827 and had 9 children they were George J., Joseph B., Edward, Abigail Augusta, Wesley, Austin, Wilbur F., Rosilla,& William B. Elias is buried near him. A lot of the Bemis's are buried here. It is a small cemetery near the cross roads of Lee road & Saxe road. Near Belleville in the town of Ellisburg, Jefferson Co., New York.
