  2.   Many sources (e.g., MHGR, vol. 7, p. 199, "Wid. Hannah Dunham"; Source:Raymond, John Marshall. Genealogies of the Teel Family of New England and of the Family of David Thomas of Middleboro, Massachusetts, p. 109, "widow Anne Dunham") misidentify the second wife of George Barrows. It is not clear why this is so, the marriage record clearly names her as widow Anna Ransom, and besides the string of recorded marriages cited in the appropriate places, the identification of her maiden name as Waterman seems confirmed by Anna (Waterman) Ransom's brother Robert Waterman being guardian to several of her children.
