"Dea. Francis married soon after coming to Braintree probably, though possibly before (as there were four in his family when a land grant was made in Jan. 1637 (8)) Mary Saunders, baptized Aug. 26, 1619 at Sudbury, Co. Suffolk, England, died Jan. 17, 1696/7 at Medford where she was living with sons in law Steven Willis & John Whitmore, daughter of Martin & Rachel (_____) Saunders of Sudbury, England and Braintree, Mass."

  2. Many sources give this family a second daughter named Mary, but this is impossible, as she would have been 9 when married. See the discussion on Mary's page. There is uncertainty about Hannah's birthdate because of the way it was formatted in the records. See the discussion on Hannah's page.
