In 1920[2], Floyd and Flossie were living at 249 Swan Street in Huntington, Ward 3, Huntington County, Indiana. Floyd did car repair for the Erie Railroad. They had one child (a son), Archie D.

Sometime after the 1920 census, Floyd and Flossie moved to Kenton, Hardin County, Ohio.[3] Floyd now inspects cars for the Steam Railroad. They have four children: Archie, Thelma, Violet and Letha.

During 1940[4], Floyd still lives in Kenton, Ohio and continues to be a car inspector for the Steam Railroad. The two oldest are no longer living with them and another daughter was born (ABT 1933). Children in the household are Violet, Letha, and Edna.
