No definite record has been found of Ebenezer Wilson's first marriage, nor of his first wife. Possibly he married in New York before his extended family removed to Oakland County Michigan. It is also possible that he married after settling in Oakland County Michigan. The 1830 census shows that he was married and residing near his father in Oakland County. The will of Ebenezer Phillips of Cayuga County NY dated 5 Nov 1832 includes his daughter Hannah, wife of Ebenezer Wilson. It is not likely that this was the same Ebenezer Wilson - there were other contemporary Ebenezer Wilsons in upstate New York closer to Cayuga County.
