John Blair of that ilk, who married Grissel, daughter of Robert II. Lord Semple and got a charter under the great seal, Johanni Blair de eodem, et Grisellida Semple ejus sponsa, terrarium vocat. Thornlie, Wallace, &c. dated 8th February 1573.
Also a charter of lands of Ryscholme, Flaskwood, North Blaise, South Blaise, &c. in Ayrshire, dated 1st February 1575.
And two charters, one of the 40 shilling land of Muirburn in Renfrewshire; the other of the lands of Over-Birket, &c. in Ayrshire, dated 3rd and 4th February 1580.
By the said Grisel Semple, he had a son, John, his heir, - and three daughters.
1. Jean, who got a charter under the great seal, Jeanna Blair, filia Johannis Blair de eodem, terrarium de Hutterhill, &c. in Ayrshire, date 14th August 1594.
2. Margaret, married to ___Ker of Kerfland, and got a charter under the great seal to her and Robert Ker her son, of the lands of Frearn in Ayrshire, dated 2nd of January 1594.
3. Grisel, married David Blair of Adamton, by charter under the great seal, 21st July 1598.
