Ella and Daniel married and went to Ohio. Daniel's father Aaron and bought them a farm in Wood Co. But, they obviously preferred Texas because they were back in Texas within a year or two. Daniel was a cowboy and eventually a rancher. They seemed to move around a bit. They owned land in Garza County, Crosby County and Mitchell County[4]. They purchased land from the railroad 7 July 1897 in Crosby County. They paid 1899-1900 property taxes in Mitchell County. They had a mortgaged home in Garza County in 1900, and paid 1901 property taxes in Garza County[5]. They showed up on the 1900 Garza County Census[6]. Dan was found hung in the barn after a border dispute with ranchers.

Some question here about the location of the James Allen Grey and Mary Boone Gibson ranch. In some reference it is around Dallas, here it is referred to as Colorado City.
