From death notice of Sarah J. Williams in the Telegraph, December 29 or 30, 1908: “At the age of five years she came, together with her parents, Daniel and Sarah Kelsey, five brothers and four sisters to Harperfield, Ashtabula county, Ohio, leaving one sister behind. They traveled by canal and by boat on Lake Erie landing at Ashtabula Harbor taking them three weeks to make the journey; then wending their way by ox team through the forest by hewn or blazed trees. They settled near the Grand River and built them a home where they resided.”
