    Vol. III, p. 2066.

Benjamin m. (2) bef 24 Jun 1691 when he "and Hannah Woodworth his wife" acknowledged a deed selling land [citing Plymouth Land Records 3:111].

  2.   Note: Benjamin's second wife is not Hannah Damon, d/o John Damon and Martha Howland, as reported in many sources (e.g., NEHGR, p. 102:151; Source:O'Neill, Donna. My American Family; and others). That Hannah was identified as Hannah May in a 1728 deed executed by her mother Martha (Howland) (Damon) Bacon, so was the wife/widow of John May, whom she married in 1695 per Hingham records, ruling out a marriage to Benjamin Woodworth.
  3.   Of Benjamin's children, only the baptism of Elizabeth and Deborah are recorded (the precise birth date of Caleb is somewhat suspect, as the basis is not known). All the rest of the birth dates are based on age at death, the order of children as given by the father's will, and various other estimating techniques. Likewise, neither marriage record has been found. So none of the dates are known with much or any precision. Thus the proper allocation of children between the wives is impossible to achieve without relying on guessing. It currently is displayed as input by the first contributors, but should not be regarded as authoritative.
