Andrew Toothaker … married probably in York County, Maine, about 1707, Abigail -----. On 1 July 1707, a presentment was made by the Grand Jury of York County against Andrew "Toothacher" and Abigail, his now wife, for committing fornication. At the next session, he appeared, but Abigail was not found; Andrew was convicted and received seven stripes on his naked back at the post and was ordered to pay court fees of 7s. or to pay a fine of 20s.
