Tradition says that Katherine Stuart Thompson, wife of Andrew Alexander and her brother William Thompson , were descendants of a granddaughter of Charles I that fled to Ireland when Charles was beheaded, married a commoner named Thompson and had descendants who came to Beverley Manor. Parents: William THOMPSON and Jean STUART. Spouse: Andrew ALEXANDER. Andrew ALEXANDER and Katherine Stuart THOMPSON were married in 1737.8768 Children were: John ALEXANDER.
