Aaron, son of Laurens and Margaret (Bussing) Kortright, married Margaret, daughter of John Delamater.[1]

    Listed as “(56) Aaron and Margriet (Delamater) Kortright” on page 37. Date and place are not given. Lists the children as Ann Elizabeth, Eve, Lawrence, Aaron, John, Susanna, and Rebecca.

    “[Aaron] purchased the Delamater farm on Montagne's Flat, and accompanying lands, part of which he sold, and recovered by purchase the lower half of the Delamater farm, which embraced 12 acres east of [Harlem] Lane, on which were the buildings, and 60 acres on the Flat, a portion being on the heights.

    “In 1762 and 1765, he gave liens on some of his lands bought of Delamater to his nephew, Lawrence Kortright, and finally the two made an exchange, Apr. 28, 1772, Lawrence taking the farm and woodlands, and giving Aaron and his wife a deed for 241 acres of the Wawayanda patent in Orange County, to go after their death to their sons, Lawrence, John and Aaron Kortright—whither they removed, and where their descendants are still found.”
