James CADENHEAD, (SR.)'was living in North Carolina at the time of the American Revolution.
He was married to Mary Ann b. c. 1755 North Carolina. Her maiden name is indefinite at this time.
One researcher proposed that she was born a Tripp. Since Tripp is my great grandfather's middle
name, I would consider that a definite possibility, but would like a little more support for that
before I take it as fact.
James Cadenhead was a member of the new Bern militia. At least five of his children are believed
to have been born in North Carolina-Aleexander, John, James, Thomas & Elizabeth.
James moved on to Georgia & later Alabama where he is buried in the Perote Cemetery.
"Soldier of 1776" 1742 - 1840.
