Quiet moment with my great-grandfather

Hello! Bob here. Having researched my family roots for more than 30 years, I would say it has turned into an addiction.

In those years my degree of success has ranged from absolutely impressive to barely scratching the surface on various ancestral lines. I have traced elements of my mother's ancestry back to the mid-1500s Reformation movement in Switzerland. I recently made probable connections on my father's side to the Cherokee chiefs of the 17th and 18th centuries, and through them, if certain seemingly speculative genealogies can be believed, possibly back to the English royalty of the 10th & 11th centuries. Quite exciting stuff! (My own five-generation ancestry chart is attached.)

And my research is pursued on my family and ancestry alone. Newly remarried in 2006, I have endeavored to research my wife's ancestry as well. I am hoping the collaborative nature of this WeRelate site may be an effective way to garner the interest and contribution of near and distant relatives (distant both geographically as well as relationship-wise) to help break the brick wall of my wife's not-too-distant past ancestral connections for which we have been running out of research leads.

Any collaborative assistance is appreciated, on all our ancestral lines.
